We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

To post to LINGUIST, use our convenient web form at

Subject: Institutional Talk Bibliography

Dear Colleagues,

I am preparing for an exam to get a shcolarship to be part of a team
carrying out a specific reaserch on institutional talk. Now, the
preparation required includes among other things 'knowledge of
relevant bibliography on institutional talk' I already have a fairly
good preparation on Conversational and Dicourse analysis in genral,
but not on institutional talk as such.

Now, as I've been out of University for two years it is difficult for
me to retrieve a reliable relevant bibliography on institutional
talk. The only book I'm sure of and that was suggested to me by a
professor as particularly relevant is Drew and Heritage 'Talk at
Work', which was published in 1992. Now, clearly I can retrieve from
this book the preceding relevant bibliography, but I don't know if
there are other very important articles or books on istitutional talk
PUBLISHED AFTER 1992 and that I should not miss.

So, what I'm asking for is a RELEVANT BIBLIOGRAPHY ON INSTITUTIONAL
TALK, especially the most important things published after 1992.

Thank you very much in advance for your kind help.

Best Regards,
Raffaella Tamagnini
