Meeting Description:

The biannual Generative Approaches to Second Language Acquisition
(GASLA) Conference is a peer-reviewed meeting devoted to mentalist
aspects of second language acquisition such as the description of
non-native grammars, similarities and differences between first and
second language acquisition, sentence processing in second language
acquisition, etc. A workshop may be organized for the day preceding
the conference (more info TBA).  LAST CALL FOR PAPERS/POSTERS FOR
GASLA 7.

GASLA 7 is still accepting proposals for papers and posters until
MONDAY, DECEMBER 15. Please specify whether you wish to be considered
for a paper or poster session.

Meeting Description:

The purpose of this seminar is to provide a forum for the discussion
of current research in contact linguistics, with special focus on (but
not limited to) English in contact with other languages and English in
contact with itself. Papers dealing with codeswitching and/or the
grammatical impact of language contact in bilingual or multilingual
settings are especially encouraged. Other topics that may be discussed
in this seminar include the following: language/dialect convergence
and death and other contact-induced linguistic changes and processes,
grammatical permeability, bilingual/multilingual acquisition, language
pathologies in bilinguals and multilinguals, grammatical development
of creoles and other contact-related grammatical phenomena.
