The Faculty of Humanities of the University of Amsterdam offers a new
MA programme for talented students who are interested in conducting
research in one of the many areas of linguistics that are studied in
its research institutes. This Research MA in Linguistics offers the
opportunity to specialize in a wide range of linguistic subdisciplines
and pays serious attention to methodological issues. All courses are
taught in English or, in the case of language-specific courses, in the
target language. The programme takes two years for selected students
with a relevant BA or equivalent, and one year for selected students
with a relevant MA or equivalent. Since the University of Amsterdam is
interested in attracting talented researchers, tuition rates are
competitive. Further information about the programmes may be found at
http://www.hum.uva.nl/graduateschool or requested from
graduateschool at hum.uva.nl.
