Description:

The Department of Linguistics, McGill University, invites applications
for a nine month replacement position in Syntax at the rank of
Assistant Professor (Special Category), effective August 15th, 2003.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Linguistics with teaching experience
preferred. The candidate will be expected to teach at the
undergraduate and graduate levels. Course load includes: Introduction
to Linguistics, Syntax 1, Structure of a Specific Language (other than
English), an advanced graduate level seminar. Secondary interest in
language acquisition and/or psycholinguistics desirable.

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadian
citizens and permanent residents will be given priority.  Applicants
should send CV and supporting documents (including teaching
evaluations) and arrange for three letters of recommendation to be
