Linguistics
Call Deadline: 31-Jul-2003

Meeting Description:

The conference aims to bring academics and students of translation
together with professionals in the field in order to discuss the use
of corpora or databases in their work. The terms "corpus", "database"
are defined here in the broadest sense, encompassing electronic and
non-electronic, small and large, commercial and private individual,
monolingual, bilingual or multilingual collections of texts or
terms. We are interested in good practice in translator and
interpreter training and effective practice in the professional
context. Theoretical, methodological, pedagogical, professional and
practical contributions as well as workshop contributions, involving
software demonstrations, are welcome.
