We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

To post to LINGUIST, use our convenient web form at

Dear Linguists,

Anybody know about finding and loading a French/English online
dictionary and/or glossary into Wordfast translation software?
Ideally, I would like to find a free compatible FR-Eng dictionary like
Robert Collins online, and hook it up to my Wordfast software. But
how? Thanks!! Best regards, Joce

Hi,
A friend of mine is a dramaturge for our local repertory theater.
They're getting ready to perform "1776", and she asked me about
dialects spoken in the American South at the time of the revolution.
Does anyone know about these things? I'll be happy to post a summary.
Susan
