Internationalization Translation Engineer
	
Internationalization Translation Engineer Overview of
responsibilities: As an Internationalization Translation Engineer, you
will be involved on the development, translation and build process of
internationalized products. The Internationalization Translation
Engineer is responsible for translation of all IWAY software products
into Japanese. The candidate should be familiar with at least one
specialized translation tools including SDLX, Trados, Catalyst, HTML
QA, and Search & Replace. Our translation project includes translation
of software strings, scripts, bitmaps, gifs, sample files, and
education materials.
	
The Internationalization Translation Engineer will perform the
following duties:

- Develop or update translation memory from existing glossaries and
other sources
- Work with automated tools to broaden the scope of the products,
while building a comprehensive translation memory.
- Provide data to the Release Manager with respect to product
readiness assessments. This involves insuring that the product meets
all functional and business objectives.
- Create complete and informative Certification Statements, including
all relevant information gathered during the certification
process. (ISO 9000)
- Update issues list on a regular basis. Stay on top of all issues and
their status. If an issue is taking too long to get resolution inform
the Release Manager.
- Communicate to the Build Specialist on an on-going basis (weekly
status of all related activities impacting the business of our
clients.
- Understand and perform each phase of building, translation, testing,
system, unit and acceptance testing.
- Translate all software terms within the product, this may include
future help files or install guides.
- Learn IBI products on an on-going basis.
- Learn and use existing tools for translation and build engineering.
- Understand and perform each phase of development of translation
database, CAT tools and perform acceptance testing.
	
At least 2 years of experience in translation. Expert knowledge and
fluency within the Japanese Language (must read and write): Candidates
should be able to pass ATA Accreditation Examination within 12 months
of employment. We are looking for candidates who are within the Metro
New York area only. No H1 Visa Sponsorship F-Visa (1 Year Practical
Training) acceptable May lead to a Fulltime position after 1 year.
