Cognitive Science Program
Michigan State University

A post-doctoral research associate position is available to work on
the integration of scene perception and language with John Henderson
and Fernanda Ferreira in the Cognitive Science Program at Michigan
State University (http://www.cogsci.msu.edu/). We are seeking a person
with expertise in fMRI who is interested in bringing this methodology
to bear on issues in high-level vision, language, and their
integration.

Michigan State University has a vibrant cognitive science community
supported by an IGERT training grant from NSF, a newly established
cognitive science research center devoted to the behavioral,
computational, and neurobiological study of vision, language, and
action, and a new fMRI facility slated to come on-line in 2004
featuring a research-dedicated 3T scanner and associated support
personnel. Consideration of applications will begin immediately and
will continue until an appropriate candidate is found. Start date is
flexible. Applicants must have completed the doctoral degree prior to
taking the position. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with
experience. The position is renewable for up to three
years.
