Two people responded to my query about Dat tapes (Linguist 14.2553),
Eric Raimy and Tom Klingler. They both agreed that DDS computer grade
tapes are just as good as the audio dat tapes so it is not worthwhile
to spend the extra mone on audio dat tapes. They did note that it is
important to stick with the 60 m tapes (2 hrs) due to the more fragile
nature of longer tapes.

Hope this is helpful!
