The Linguistics Programme invites applications for a permanent post at
Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer level. The applicant must have
expertise in psycholinguistics, with particular reference to the field
of cognitive science. In addition, the applicant's area of
specialisation must include one or more of the following fields:
- Phonology
- Phonetics
- Syntax
- Semantics
- Computational linguistics
- Morphology

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- An appropriate PhD.
- Appropriate tertiary-level teaching.
- Evidence of active research.

To be considered at the level of Associate Professor, applicants must
have a substantial record of published research in one or more of the
required areas of expertise or specialisation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will teach courses at undergraduate and
graduate levels, pursue research, participate in curriculum
development and programme administration, and engage in postgraduate
supervision, particularly though not exclusively in the field of
psycholinguistics. All staff must be prepared to teach in
interdisciplinary programmes that have a cognate relationship to
Linguistics.
