Artificial Intelligence, knowledge acquisition, concept structure and
representation, ontologies, data modelling, as well as management and
reuse of terminological resources, are the centre of new
terminological applications and also the consequence of a deep
methodological renovation. The enthusiasm shown over the past years
towards methodological principles allied to a period of a certain slow
down of the theoretical reflection - not being able to cope with the
flourishing of technological innovation in constant mutation - clearly
show that Terminology as a science is, at present, performing a
turning point, not only methodologically but also theoretically, and
that requires an urgent state-of-the-art. Consequently, we would like
to encourage the participants to share their own experiences and
reflections concerning these matters.

2ème Conférence Internationale de Terminologie - CIT 2003
«Terminologie: l'état des theories»
Lisbonne, 11, 12 et 13 décembre 2003
Appuis Institutionnels : AET, Instituto Camões, Union Latine, NL-Term
http://www.fcsh.unl.pt/termip

«Terminologia: o estado das teorias» Lisboa, 11, 12 e 13 Dezembro 2003
Apoios institucionais: AET, Instituto Camões, União Latina, NL-Term
http://www.fcsh.unl.pt/termip A segunda Conferência Internacional de
Terminologia (CIT 2003) é dedicada ao tema Terminologia : o estado
das teorias.

A inteligência artificial, aquisição de conhecimentos, a estruturação
e representações conceptuais, as ontologias, a modelização dos dados,
constante mutação - evidencia claramente a viragem metodológica e
