Description:

Assistant/Associate Prof. (tenure track term negotiable) Ph.D. in hand
by Aug. 1, 2004 for appointment at assistant prof. level. Area of
specialization in Spanish Linguistics or Romance Linguistics with a
concentration in Spanish. Natine/near native fluency in Spanish and
English. Evidence of strong teaching and research potential.

The succseful candidate will teach all levels, from beginning language
to Master's courses. Ability to teach phonetics required. Other
courses may include history of the language, syntax and other
linguistics related courses. Ability to teach Romance Linguistics
preferred. Competence to teach foreign language methodologies a
plus. Normal teaching load: 3 courses per semester. We seek a strong
commitment to excellence in scholarship, teaching and service. Send
