Description:

CENTRAL MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY. English Linguistics. One-year temporary
position beginning Fall, 2004.  ABD or Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics,
English Linguistics, or related discipline required; expertise in
phonetics preferred. Applicant must be able to teach introductory
courses in linguistics, including a sociolinguistics-focused freshman
general education course, as well as composition courses. Ability to
teach graduate courses in TESOL, particularly phonetics/phonology
pedagogy, preferred. Send current curriculum vita, transcripts,
materials documenting teaching effectiveness, and three letters of
recommendation to Dr. Stephen Holder, Chair, Department of English
Language and Literature, Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, MI
48859. Review of applications will start immediately and will be
accepted until April 23, 2004. Recently classified by the Carnegie
Foundation as a doctoral/research-intensive university, CMU is a
