Description:

Applications are invited from new or established research-led
academics with a doctorate, a record of publications, and a growing
research profile in an area of linguistics related to French. They
will be required to participate actively in the newly established
Centre for Applied Language Research. They will be qualified to teach
across the linguistics curriculum at undergraduate level, and will
have a special interest in the French language, from the perspective
of linguistics, psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics or applied
linguistics. They will be expected to contribute to postgraduate
teaching and research supervision in one or more of these areas.
Modern Languages at Southampton is internationally excellent with a 5*
rating in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise and thriving
undergraduate and postgraduate numbers in the field.  Salary in the
range £22,954 - £34,838 per annum. Academic Grade A/B.

It is anticipated that interviews will take place on 24/5/04
