DIWURRUWURRU-JARU ABORIGINAL CORPORATION

(Katherine Regional Aboriginal Language Centre)

2 x FULL-TIME LINGUIST POSITIONS

Diwurruwurru-jaru Aboriginal Corporation (DAC) is an Aboriginal
Language Centre responsible for the language activities of the
Katherine Region.

DAC has two full-time linguist positions available until 30 June
2005. These positions will be on-going pending further funding. The
positions involve conducting research in specific Indigenous languages
of the Katherine Region and providing support for language
documentation, education and revitalisation programs in the region.

Applicants should have at least a BA degree in linguistics, with an
emphasis on typology and descriptive linguistics, and have a
demonstrated capacity for field-work in a cross cultural situation.
Salary will be in the range of $AUS37,000 to $AUS44,000 p.a.
depending on qualifications and experience.
