 ==========================================================================
The LINGUIST List strongly encourages employers to use
non-discriminatory standards in hiring policy. In particular we urge
that employers do not discriminate on the grounds of race, ethnicity,
nationality, age, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. However, we
have no means of enforcing these standards.

Job seekers should pay special attention to language in ads regarding
employment requirements and are encouraged to consult our international
employment page http://linguistlist.org/jobnet.html.

This page has been set up so that people can report on the employment
standards of various countries.

University or Organization: University of Nottingham
Department: School of English Studies
Rank of Job: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer
Specialty Areas: Applied Linguistics, Ling and Literature (2 posts)

Description:

Two Posts:	Stylistics
		Applied Linguistics

Applications are invited for two permanent posts in the School of
English Studies, in the above two areas. One post will be at
Lecturer A/B level, and the other at Senior Lecturer/Reader level, to
be decided at interview. These posts form part of a strategic
expansion of the School, rated 5A in the 2001 RAE.

for the post in applied linguistics should have a particular research
profile in second language acquisition and/or

research interests in literary linguistics. These posts form part of
