Lecturers in English Language & Linguistics (2 posts)
Scale/Salary: Lecturer £23,643 - £29,479, pro rata
Limited term contracts:	Post 1 - limited term to 15 July 2005
			Post 2 - limited term from 1 January to 15 July 2005

An experienced Lecturer, with a postgraduate degree [preferably PhD]
in linguistics and evidence of current research activity, will
look forward to the wide responsibility this role can offer. Not only
is there a strong teaching element, but opportunities for involvement
in research, development and commercial activity.

The applicant should be able to teach at undergraduate levels 1-3 in a
minimum of two areas, at least one of which should be: discourse and
conversation analysis, inter-cultural communications and media,
psycholinguistics, corpus linguistics. Preferably with a teaching
qualification, your excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for
your subject will enhance the learning experience for students who
come from a variety of educational backgrounds. In addition you will
undertake other duties commensurate with the post such as acting as
personal tutor to some students and fulfilling the necessary
administrative requirements.
