Description:

The Center for Language and Cognition in Groningen (CLCG) offers a
four-year Ubbo Emmius scholarship for a PhD-project on the acquisition
of German morphosyntax, to be based on the analyses of extensive
naturalistic databases on German child and adult language. The project
will be carried out in the language development group under the
supervision of Prof. Dr. Heike Behrens. The candidate will be able to
follow graduate courses in local and national graduate schools.

Candidates must have a Master degree (or equivalent) in linguistics
and a (near) native-like command of German as well as training in
language acquisition research and/or corpus linguistics, especially in
functionalist and constructivist approaches to language and language
acquisition.

The university shall pay the candidate a monthly scholarship of Euro
1370. The scholarship is restricted to non-Dutch citizens.
