Subject:  Help Needed

Hi to all,

This is Jenny, an undergraduate Honours student in the National
University of Singapore. I'm currently working on my thesis titled
''Penpals Online: A Corpus-based Study Of Singapore-based Penpal
Advertisements On The Web.'' The aim of the thesis is to compare the
writing styles and the possible factors influencing the language
styles of adults and teens.

I will be truly grateful if someone could advise me on literature that
I can consult regarding past or current research carried on the
language styles of adults. I managed to find a book ''They don't speak
our language:essays on the language world of children and
adolescents.'' But I did not have such luck when it came to finding
literature on adult language. The closest were books on adult learners
of language, e.g. for EAP etc...

If there are journal articles or other types of literature or even
advice on thesis writing etc, I will be glad to hear from you. I can
