Description:

Liaoning Province, located in the North of China, is recruiting
English teachers for several of its universities, high schools and
language schools. Locations vary from the provincial capital,
Shenyang, to the port city of Dalian, or other cities and town such as
Anshan, Huludao, etc. (information about locations to be found on
www.teach-in-china.cn)

The selection procedure is organised by Liaoning Union of Degree and
Graduate Education, an organisation that depends of the Provincial
Government, where all the job vacancies are centralised. The chosen
institute will directly employ the selected candidates using a
standardised official contract.

Recruitment date: March 1 and September 1, 2004

Requirements:
- Bachelor degree OR CELTA/TESOL certificate preferred; others will be
  considered, depending on experience.
- Native English speaker required
- Teaching 16-20 hours/week
- Pedagogical skills
- Adventurous mind: flexibility to live in an Asian environment for 1
  year

Benefits for the qualified candidates:
- 3,500 - 4,000 RMB / month depending on position, degree and
  experience. This equals 500 USD, is tax-free and allows for
  comfortable living and travelling in China.
- Contracts for 1 year preferred; 6 months possible.
- Free private and furnished accommodation at walking distance from
  the school, usually with internet connection.
- Residence permit and work permit
- International flight ticket (a return ticket is reimbursed when
  signing a 1-year contract; ½ a ticket is reimbursed with a 6-month
  contract)
- Holidays according to the Chinese vacation system
- All possible assistance upon arrival; continuous assistance
  throughout your contract when needed
