Abstract:

The papers in the volume were presented at the Head Movement Workshop,
jointly organized with the University of Potsdam, and held at UCLA in
October 2001.  The purpose of the workshop was to "re-evaluate the
status of the head movement rule which has played a crucial role in
the analysis of various phenomena central to syntactic theory."
