Temporary Lectureship in Russian (Ref:4452)
Salary: £22,954 - £33,230 (pay award pending)

Applications are invited for a temporary Lectureship in Russian, made
possible by funding from the ESRC (Professorial Fellowship to Prof.
Greville Corbett). It is available from 1 September 2004, though a
later starting date may be agreed. This post will involve teaching
Russian at various levels, and some examining, administrative and
pastoral responsibilities. There will be opportunities for teaching
additional subjects if the successful candidate has the appropriate
expertise and for developing e-learning materials. There will also be
the opportunity to carry out research particularly within the Surrey
Morphology Group. The appointment is intended to provide the chance
for an appropriate candidate to develop his or her career within a
strong Russian subject group.

Candidates should have an excellent knowledge of Russian, both active
and conceptual. Preference may be given to candidates with expertise
in one or more of the following: language and computation, linguistic
typology, morphology, syntactic theory.
