Description:

Pending funding, the Linguistics Department at Tel Aviv University
seeks to hire a specialist in one or more of the following:
psycholinguistics/neurolinguistics, language acquisition,
computational linguistics. Should the appointment go through, it will
be tenure-track, beginning or intermediate rank, effective October
2005. The candidate may not have held a regular position at an Israeli
university for more than one year before the application. Courses at
Tel Aviv University may be taught in English, but the candidate is
expected to learn Hebrew within 3 years. A PhD with specialization in
linguistics is required by the time of the formal application to be
made by the Department of Linguistics (December 2004). Applicants
should submit hard copy of curriculum vitae, statement of research
interests, indicating how they may interact with members of the
department, 2 samples of published work, and full contact information
for three academic references (from more than one institution), whom
they have asked to write letters of recommendation on their behalf to
the Search Committee, Linguistics Dept. Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv,
69978, Israel. Deadline for application: September 15, 2004.
