Description:
	
Bowne Global Solutions, the leading provider of outsourced
globalization solutions, has three immediate openings in its R&D
division in Boston, MA for the following full-time positions:
	
Computational Linguist French
Computational Linguist German
Computational Linguist Portuguese
	
Responsibilities include:
	
-Creation, maintenance, and augmentation of machine-readable dictionaries.
-Creation, maintenance, and augmentation of grammar rules and parsing algorithms.
-Linguistic evaluation and analysis of machine translation output.
-Development and maintenance of tools for automation/support of linguistic tasks.
-Technical evaluation, specification, development, and support tasks
for new MT/NLP algorithms, components, and interfaces.
-Preparation of functional and performance test plans for the
linguistic and functional components of products.
-Documentation of linguistic software components.
-Training of staff to support the use of the company's natural-language products.
Preparation of training sessions.
	
Required Skills:
	
Has the ability to complete assignments on time and with high
quality. Understands and supports the product development
process. Knowledgeable on the interaction of linguistic data with
software products. Usually works as a member of a project team with
supervision, but should be capable of performing tasks of appropriate
scope and complexity as an individual.
	
-Minimum of B.A. in Computational Linguistics or equivalent plus 2
years of experience in the NLP industry, or M.A. in Computational
Linguistics or equivalent.
-Proficiency in at least one data manipulation language (Perl preferred)
-Fluency in English
-Native or near-native knowledge of French/German/Portuguese
	
Desired Skills
	
-Good working knowledge of at least one programming language (C, C++,
C# preferred)
-Good working knowledge of SQL and Visual Basic or other relevant data
manipulation/programming languages.
-Knowledge of Spanish
