We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

To post to LINGUIST, use our convenient web form at

Subject: structure of pronouns

Hi,

Does anyone have references to works concerning the internal structure
and features of pronouns and DPs. I'm specifically interested in the
differences there might be between personal, possessive and reflexive
pronouns (in any language) and not so much in differences between
persons.

Cheers,

Subject: Question:Lightbown & Spada article

Hi!
I was wondering if anyone could give me some ideas for an experiment I could
carry out in order to investigate some of the issues raised in the Nina
Spada and Patsy Lightbown article (1999) "Instruction, First Language
Influence, and Developmental Readiness in Second Language Acquisition". The
Modern Language Journal, 83:i (1-22).
Any suggestions would be gratefully received!
Many thanks!
Alison Davies
