Description:

Assistant Professor of Spanish, tenure-track position to begin fall
2004.  Ph.D. in Spanish by 8/16/2004.  Specialization in Spanish
Linguistics.  Duties include teaching courses in Phonetics and
Phonemics, Advanced Spanish Grammar, Spanish Syntax, and Contrastive
Structures in Spanish and English.  Ability to teach courses in
History of the Language and/or Spanish Dialectology desirable.
Native-like fluency in Spanish expected.  Evidence of strong interest
in research and excellence in teaching required.  Salary commensurate
with experience.  The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986
requires the university to inform you that we can only employ
U.S. citizens and aliens lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.  Each
new employee is required to present documentation verifying identity
and right to accept employment.  Members of protected class groups are
