Meeting Description:

The term nation's civilization is one of the concepts that could
hardly be confied to a single definition. Many factors that are
involved in nation's culture such as long history cultural heritage
and scientific achievements do contribute to this term.

Nation's culture, with this comprehensive view, is required to deal,
and interact with the tremendous scientific progress in communication
and computer which is now referred to as informatics. Where does the
nation stand with respect to this scientific progress in research,
dialogue, industry and education, as well as other vital comprehensive
interaction processes?

The world is now witnessing a wave of epistemological development. Now
any one of us can communicate with as many people as he wants all over
the globe simultamously. Scientific discussions are held between
people in different countries mainly by clicking their browsers.Zarka
Private University, which won the first prize in computer for the year
2002, is honoured to hold this conference (Nation's Civilization and
Informatics Challenges with the following themes:

The First Theme:
Introduction to the conceptual dimensions and significance of
informatics:
- Informatics: concepts, sciences and objectives.
- Informatics at the service of humanity.
- Informatics at the Arab World .
- Informatics mangement as basis for success.

Zarka Private University invites calls on papers from linguists and
translators on the following themes
The scientific Dimension and utilization of Informatics:
- Challenges of TV: Positive and Negative Points.
- Informatics and constructive utilization.
- Universities at an era at Informatics: Planning and Implementation.
- Langages at Informatics era.
- Informatics and literature.
- Informatics and linguistics (syntax, morhpology, mytrics)
- Informatics and translation

Languages of the confernce are Arabic and English.The university
provides free accomodation for the participants during the confernce.
