Description:

The Department of Linguistics at the University of Illinois,
Urbana-Champaign, has an opening for a Visiting Assistant Professor of
Linguistics, with specialization in sociolinguistics, for the academic
year 2004-2005 (August 16th 2004-August 15th 2005).  Candidates should
be prepared to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels
in language contact/multingualism, and dialectology with special
emphasis on American dialects.

The successful candidate must have completed all the requirements for
the Ph.D. Candidates are requested to submit CV, sample publications,
teaching evaluations (if available), and arrange for three letters of
recommendation to be sent to:
