The following information may be of interest to phonologists. A
Festschrift for Jonathan Kaye has been published in December 2003 at
Mouton. On April 24th, 2004, some friends and colleagues of his went
down to Girona/Catalunya where Jonathan lives in order to give him a
copy - he didn't have one.

The surprise was perfect: we trapped Jonathan in a restaurant. He
really did not know that the book existed; he had only googled out
some strange pre-reference to it years ago, but since nothing had come
up up, he hadn't thought of it anymore.

Well, there was an article about the event in the local newspaper,
written in Catalan but with a picture, which you may download at

http://www.unice.fr/dsl/tobias.htm

Also, John Rennison has put his video shots of the Girona party on the
web (how Jonathan got his book, etc.). You can download them at

(watch out; huge files).
