Description:

Create the future of Human-computer interaction - A VUI Designer
performs requirements gathering, analysis, and construction of voice
user interface designs for automated processing employing Automatic
Speech Recognition (ASR) capabilities. Use of software design tools,
report writing, usability testing, working with programmers, and
quality assurance duties are necessary. Tasks require interaction with
internal and customer staff. May also include customer consultation
and internal/external training duties on design concepts. Also
includes application tuning and problem analysis duties such as
transcription, data collection, and report preparation. Other related
duties as determined by management may be required.  Requires a
Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Industrial
Psychology, MIS, Product Design, Liberal Arts plus technical, or a
related field or equivalent experience. Superior analysis, synthesis,
presentation and written/oral communication skills are a
must. Assertiveness and decision-making skills are very
important. Good understanding of psychological principals is
helpful. Familiarity with linguistics or ASR appreciated but not
mandatory.
