Meeting Description:

Is grammar 'a window on thought'? How does grammatical structure relate to
conceptual structure? Is linguistic conceptualisation distinct from general
cognition? To what extent is grammar motivated? Is grammar rational,
phenomenological, imaginative, embodied? Who cognizes what in grammar? What
are the specific epistemological and methodological dimensions of Cognitive
Grammar?

Exploration of the following topics or issues is welcome:
- speakers as cognizers
- grammar as ''construal''
- the mental architecture / organization of grammar
- origin and nature of grammatical meaning
- grammar and (mental) imagery
- grammar and conceptual integration
- grammar and conceptual projection
- grammar and conceptual reification
- grammar and ception
- grammar and iconicity
- cognitive grammar and language teaching

Discussion of the following issues is also encouraged
- anthropological and biocultural dimensions of grammar
- aphasia, disability, mental illness and grammar
- grammar and cultural frames / models / scripts
