Description:

We are a dynamic technology company specializing in text-to-speech. We are
seeking to add a native Canadian French speaking person to our language
development team. This person will work on a project/temporary basis for 4
months in the SVOX office in Zurich, Switzerland.

Tasks and responsibilities:
- Development of language-specific components needed to analyze Canadian
   French texts (grammars, lexica, rule sets)
- Quality assessment of phonemic transcriptions
- Definition of accentuation and phrasing rules
- Preparation of text material for recordings
- Supervising the recordings
- Annotating the recordings and creating a speech database
- Testing and quality assessment of the integrated system

Qualifications:
- Native speaker of Canadian French
- Higher education degree in linguistics, computer science, or related field
- 1+ years experience in text-to-speech technology
- Interest in speech synthesis, prosody, and morpho-syntactic analysis of text
- Working knowledge of English
- Positive attitude and enjoys to work in a team
- Programming and scripting skills are desirable
