The 2nd International Joint Conference on Natural Language Processing
(IJCNLP-05) will be organized by the Asian Federation of Natural Language
Processing (AFNLP: http://www.afnlp.org/) on the beautiful Jeju Island, Korea,
on October 11-13, 2005.

	Submission deadline: Friday 15th April 2005

SCOPE

IJCNLP-05 invites the submission of original papers in all areas of natural
language processing, including, but not limited to:

- the lexicon, phonology and morphology
- word segmentation
- part-of-speech tagging
- syntax and parsing
- semantics and pragmatics
- discourse and dialogue processing
- machine translation and multilingual processing
- question answering
- information extraction and text mining
- text summarisation
- natural language generation
- natural language applications, tools and resources
- linguistic, psychological and mathematical models of language

In addition to the above, we are particularly keen to include within the scope
of the conference work in speech technology and information retrieval.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION

The proceedings of the conference will be published as a volume in the
Springer-Verlag LNCS/LNAI series. The Springer formatting guidelines and style
files can be found at http://www.afnlp.org/IJCNLP05/.  Papers should be no more
than 12 pages in length in the Springer format.

Paper submissions will be handled electronically using the START system; please
submit your paper at http://www.softconf.com/start/IJCNLP05/submit.html.
Reviewing will be blind, so in preparing your manuscript, do not include any
information which could reveal your identity, or that of your co-authors. The
title section of your manuscript should not contain any author names, email
addresses, or affiliation information.

DEADLINES

Paper submission deadline: Friday 15th April 2005
Notification of acceptance: Monday 23rd May 2005
Camera ready papers due: Monday 13th June 2005

The 12th International Conference on Logic for Programming Artificial
Intelligence and Reasoning (LPAR-12) will be held 2nd-6th December 2005, at the
Wexford Hotel, Montego Bay, Jamaica. Submission of papers for presentation at
the conference is now invited. Topics of interest include:

+ rewriting and unification
+ software and hardware verification
+ network and protocol verification
+ systems specification and synthesis
+ model checking
+ proof-carrying code
+ logic and databases

+ modal and temporal logics
+ nonmonotonic reasoning
+ constructive logic and type theory
+ lambda and combinatory calculi

Full and short papers are welcome. Full papers may be either regular papers
containing new results, or experimental papers describing implementations or
evaluations of systems. Short papers may describe work in progress or provide
system descriptions.  Submitted papers must be original, and not submitted
concurrently to a journal or another conference.

The full paper proceedings of LPAR-12 will be published by Springer-Verlag in
the LNAI series.  Authors of accepted full papers will be required to sign a
form transferring copyright of their contribution to Springer-Verlag.  The short
paper proceedings of LPAR-12 will be published by the conference.

Submission Instructions

Papers must be prepared using the Springer-Verlag instructions for authors
(http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html).  Papers may be up to 15 pages.
 If proofs do not fit in 15 pages, an appendix with proofs may be added. Short
papers may be up to 5 pages. Papers must be submitted in plain postscript or PDF
format, through the online submission system
