Le processus d'appropriation des langues est indissociable de conduites et
d'activités métalinguistiques qui appellent une prise de conscience de
l'altérité linguistique et l'élaboration de notions grammaticales plus ou moins
adéquates : la comparaison des réalisations de schèmes structuraux équivalents
dans différentes langues permet de mettre en évidence la distance
interlinguistique et d'interroger les catégories adoptées pour rendre compte de
la singularité des langues. La richesse des observations et la pertinence des
catégories déterminent la qualité de la conceptualisation.
L'unité microsyntaxique constituée autour du verbe a fait l'objet de nombreuses
investigations, sous l'appellation de valence verbale, structure actancielle,
schème prédicatif, structure prédicative ou encore, de relation prédicative -
avec des objets d'études et approches sensiblement différents.
La mise en discours de l'unité verbale mobilise des mécanismes syntaxiques,
sémantiques et énonciatifs dont l'interdépendance détermine de façon cruciale
les interprétations qui émergent au gré des énoncés.
Les communications, qui permettront une confrontation entre différents modes de
théorisation en sémantique et en syntaxe du verbe, engageront une réflexion qui
visera à cerner l'articulation de contraintes formelles et sémantiques et
d'exigences pragmatiques dans la production du sens.
Cette problématique sera envisagée selon différentes perspectives :
- celle des fonctions syntaxiques assignées de façon variable aux arguments
verbaux (sujet vs. objet vs. adjoint, par exemple) ;
- celle des paradigmes grammaticaux exprimant les catégories sémantiques dans
l'unité verbale ;
- celle de la mise en discours des arguments, en mobilisant les notions de
thème, rhème, topicalisation, focalisation ;
- celle de la variabilité syntaxique, par une mise en perspective des notions
telles que contrainte ou rection.
Ces questions serviront de support à des échanges transversaux entre linguistes
travaillant dans des espaces théoriques divers (énonciatifs, génératifs,
guillaumien, lexique-grammaire, etc.) ; chaque communicant aura, en conséquence,
le devoir de rendre son discours intelligible par un auditoire disposé à
entendre des voix venues d'ailleurs.
Les propositions de communication seront de préférence envoyées par courrier
électronique en fichier joint, format RTF. Elles prendront la forme d'un résumé
de 500 mots (maximum), accompagné du titre de la communication. Un second
fichier attaché contiendra : nom / prénom du communiquant, affiliation
institutionnelle, coordonnées postales et électroniques.

Les communications ne dépasseront pas 30 minutes, discussion incluse. Afin de
favoriser les échanges durant le colloque, les intervenants mettront à notre

lors du colloque.

The acquisition of natural languages cannot be dissociated from metalinguistic
choices and activities which call for one's awareness of linguistic differences
and for the elaboration of grammatical notions that need to be questioned. The
comparison of equivalent structural schemata in different languages enables one
to highlight differences between languages and to test the linguistic categories
used to describe and explain the singular functioning of natural languages. The
diversity of the data and the relevance of the categories determine the quality
of the conceptualisation.
The microsyntactic unit around the verb has been the object of many linguistic
research studies, under different denominations: valence, actance, predicative
schema, predicative structure or relationship, argument structure, theta theory.
These research studies have been carried out using different objects of
investigation and different theoretical approaches.
The discursive use of verb units mobilizes syntactic, semantic and pragmatic
mechanisms, the interdependence of which determines the interpretations that
emerge as discourse unfolds.
The papers will allow confrontation between different theoretical frameworks in
the field of verb semantics and syntax and will aim at a better understanding of
the relations between formal and semantic constraints and pragmatic requirements
for the production of meaning.
The question will be envisaged in different perspectives:
- the variability of the syntactic functions of verb arguments (for example,
subject vs. object vs. adjunt) ;
- grammatical paradigms and semantic categories of verb units ;
- the discursive use of arguments : theme, rheme, topicalisation, focalisation? ;
- syntactic variability and syntactic constraints (government).
Participants with different theoretical frameworks (theories of "enunciation",
generativism, Guillaumian framework, Lexis-Grammar, etc.) will endeavour to make
their papers intelligible to an audience prepared to welcome a variety of
theoretical approaches.

La estructura sintáctica construida alrededor del verbo ha sido el objeto de
numerosas investigaciones, bajo términos tales como valencia verbal, estructura
argumental, matiz predicativo, estructura predicativa, relación predicativa -
con objetos de investigación y perspectivas teóricas sensiblemente diferentes.
La actualización de tal estructura sintáctica en el discurso pone en función
mecanismos sintácticos, semánticos y enunciativos, cuya interdependencia
determina las interpretaciones de los respectivos enunciados.
Estas cuestiones repercuten también en el ámbito de la adquisición lingüística.
La riqueza de las observaciones y la pertinencia de las categorías deciden sobre
la cualidad de la conceptualización. El aprendizaje de una lengua secundaria se
efectúa en parte mediante procesos de conceptualización y actividades
metalingüísticas que Ilevan al hablante a enfrentar la diferencia lingüística y
a desarrollar nociones gramaticales adecuadas. La comparación de las respectivas
realizaciones de matices estructurales equivalentes en lenguas diferentes revela
la distancia entre ellas y cuestiona las categorías adoptadas.
Las ponencias permitirán la discusión de diferentes modelos teóricos en
semántica y sintaxis verbal y promoverán la articulación explícita de
restricciones sintácticas y semánticas, como también de exigencias pragmáticas
en la producción de sentido.
Trataremos esta problemática en varias perspectivas:
- la de funciones sintácticas conectadas de manera variable a los argumentos
verbales (sujeto vs. objeto vs. adjunto, etc.)
- la de los paradigmas gramaticales que expresan las categorías semánticas del verbo
- la de la realización discursiva de los argumentos, a saber, la estructura
informacional (tema-rema) y la estructura de foco y fondo;
- la de la variabilidad sintáctica, con el enfoque de nociones como restricción
o regencia;
- la del papel de la estructura semántica del verbo en la proyección de
estructura sintáctica;
Esperamos que tales cuestiones llevarán al intercambio entre lingüistas de
diferentes escuelas teóricas (enunciativa, generativa, léxico-funcional,
papel-y-referencia, etc.); por eso, se les exigirá a todos los ponentes que se
expresen de una manera inteligible para un público heterogéneo.
Las propuestas se recibirán por correo electrónico (en formato RTF) con 1) el
título de la ponencia; 2) un resumen de hasta 500 palabras; 3) en un documento
separado: nombre completo del ponente, afiliación institucional, dirección
postal y electrónica.
