Description:

The Department of English at the University of Hamburg invites applications for
the position of a research assistant (half-time) starting 1 April 2006. 

Salary is ranked according to the BAT IIa scale. This is a non-permanent
position terminating after three years. 

Successful applicants are expected to teach one course per semester, assist in
ongoing research activities and successfully complete work on a PhD-thesis. 

Applicants need a university degree in English Linguistics. An excellent command
of English is essential.
