Dear Colleagues,

We are sorry to inform you that Professor Lucia Lobato, from the University
of Brasilia and former President of the Brazilian Association of
Linguistics, passed away on the 30th November. The Brazilian Association of
Linguistics, currently based at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, has
opened a webpage where friends and colleagues may leave their messages in
remembrance of Professor Lobato. The webpage is hosted at
