We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

Dear Colleagues,

I am searching for OCR (Optical Character Recognition) Software for
IPA transcriptions. I am doing it for a German dictionary.

Can somebody advise me where to start searching or who to contact?

Please feel free to reply.

I am doing research into English grammaticology and am looking for titles
of 'pedagogical grammar books for EFL teachers' published outside the Uk
and the USA. So far I have managed to find Graustein et al 1977, Edmondson
et al 1977 and Dirven et al 1989. Are you aware of any recent work in this
area of English grammar writing?

Many thanks
