Description:

Applications are invited for a Lectureship in Japanese. The successful
candidate will have teaching and research expertise in at least one of the
following fields: second language acquisition, language pedagogy, language
testing, the theory and practice of translation. Fluency in Japanese is
essential and prior experience of teaching the speaking, reading and writing
of Japanese as a foreign language effectively to students at various levels
is preferred.

Applicants should already hold a Ph.D, or be on the point of completing their
Ph.D thesis, in a relevant topic, and have either a track record of scholarly
research or demonstrable research potential. The position will commence in
September 2005.
