III Encuentro de Gramática Generativa (EGG3)
Neuquén, August 18-20, 2005

1st CALL FOR PAPERS

The 'III Encuentro de Gramática Generativa', which will be held in Neuquén
(Argentina) 18-20 August 2005, is organized by the Facultad de Humanidades de la
Universidad Nacional del Comahue. Submissions are invited for papers in any
field related to the formal study of grammar (syntax, morphology, phonology,
semantics, lexical theory, interfaces, language acquisition, philosophy of
language). Talks will be organized around major topics, depending on the content
of the submissions.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Abstracts should be sent by e-mail as a Word or RTF file to the following
address: encuentrogg at yahoo.com.ar. Abstracts should be no longer than two pages,
including references and examples, with margins of at least 1-inch, 12pt font.
In the plain text part of your email message (not the attachment), please supply
the following information:
- name, 
- affiliation,
- title of the paper,
- email address,
- snail mail address.
The format of the conference is 30 min for presentation + 10 min for discussion.
The official languages of the conference are Spanish, Portuguese and English. 

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS APRIL 30, 2005. 
Notification of acceptance will be no later than May 31, 2005.

Constitution des lexiques scientifiques et techniques entre 1300 et 1600 

Le laboratoire ATILF (Analyse et Traitement Informatique de la Langue Française,
CNRS - Nancy 2) organise les 22 et 23 septembre 2005 un colloque qui a pour
thème l'étude des lexiques spécialisés en français et tout particulièrement
pendant les périodes charnières du moyen français et du français préclassique.
Ce colloque, résolument orienté vers des problématiques de type lexical, tentera
d'apporter quelques réponses aux questions portant sur l'émergence des sciences
et des techniques en français, la constitution de lexiques et leur portée dans
l'univers linguistique dans lequel ils sont créés. En d'autres termes, il s'agit
d'observer comment émerge un lexique spécialisé à la fin du moyen âge et au
début de la Renaissance. Est-il le corollaire de l'émergence d'une science ? Au
contraire, est-il indépendant de la discipline qu'il décrit ? Comment se forment
les vocabulaires de la médecine, de l'astrologie, du droit, de la science
politique, etc. ? Les techniques de création lexicale sont-elles les mêmes ?
Plusieurs pistes de recherche centrées autour des problématiques suivantes
peuvent être envisagées. 

Etudes de corpus reposant sur les textes dans les domaines suivants :

  6. histoire
  7. finances / économie
  8. science politique
  9. philosophie
