Meeting Description:

Workshop on using the University of Washington language archives for community-driven language revitalization efforts, Sept. 12 - 16, 2005

The Linguistics Department at the University of Washington will host a workshop on using the University of Washington language archives to assist revitalization efforts for languages of the Pacific Northwest.  The workshop will be held at the Suzzallo Library, University of Washington, Seattle, and is intended for members of indigenous language communities and their supporters.

Cost: There is no fee for the workshop. Participation is limited to the first 30 registrants.

-The title for this workshop is based on the name of an equivalent workshop at the University of California at Berkeley where it is co-sponsored by the Advocates for Indigenous California Language Survival.
