NEW MA PROGRAMME in LINGUISTICS and LANGUAGE ACQUISITION University of
Newcastle upon Tyne, UK

12 months full-time/24 months part-time programme
Foundation in: - linguistic theory  - language acquisition - research methods

Wide range of options including:
- First language acquisition (including exceptional circumstances)
- Cross-linguistic Second Language Acquisition (e.g. French/German/Spanish)
- SLA in the classroom
- Second language phonology
- Bilingualism and language contact
- Sociolinguistics
- And many more,  e.g. corpus linguistics, psycholinguistics, classroom
interaction, CALL etc.

Entry requirements: a good first degree (e.g. UK 2:1/North America B+ or
equivalent) and if a non-native speaker 6.5 IELTS or TOEFL  575/233.
