The School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics wishes to
appoint a Senior Lecturer/Lecturer in linguistics who has research and
teaching interests in Historical Linguistics. A particular interest in
English Historical Linguistics will be an advantage. You should have a
strong research and publication record and be likely to make a strong
submission to RAE (Research Assessment Exercise) 2008. You will be joining
a lively and expanding linguistics section in The School of English Literature,
Language and Linguistics. Prospective applicants are invited to discuss the post
informally with the Head of School, Professor Linda Anderson, at
