We'd like to remind readers that the responses to queries are usually
best posted to the individual asking the question. That individual is
then strongly encouraged to post a summary to the list. This policy was
instituted to help control the huge volume of mail on LINGUIST; so we
would appreciate your cooperating with it whenever it seems appropriate.

In addition to posting a summary, we'd like to remind people that it
is usually a good idea to personally thank those individuals who have
taken the trouble to respond to the query.

Dear Linguists,

Are you aware of any language in which a noun or noun phrase in accusative
case receives double markers, hence implying emphasis? Moreover, could you
provide me with a bibliography or literature review in this regard?

I am grateful for your cooperation and reply.

Regards,
Rho Hi

Dear Linguist,

I have started collecting proverbs of an unwritten language spoken in Iran.
I will be very grateful to anybody who might inform me of any material
(article, book, or monograph) giving expert advice on how to go about
collecting proverbs of an unwritten language.

Sincerely,
Rho Hi
