Description:

The University of Paderborn (Germany) announces the position of a senior
professor (W3) in English Linguistics, to begin in Fall 2006.

Applicants should have extensive knowledge of English Linguistics and should be
experienced in the area of Linguistic Variation research (including the
historical, typological and psycholinguistic dimensions). The successful
candidate will further this focus of research. He or she will be expected to
teach classes in English Linguistics and perform administrative duties in
German. A working knowledge of German is therefore indispensable.

Full tenure and excellent superannuation conditions are offered along with a
competitive salary and attractive waiting conditions.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in English Linguistics and have published and
taught widely in this field.
