The Center for Cognitive Studies at Tufts is pleased to offer support for a
visiting graduate student interested in spending all or part of spring semester
2006 at the Center, working under the direction of Prof. Ray Jackendoff.

We are looking for students who are interested in applying Conceptual Semantics,
the Parallel Architecture, or the Simpler Syntax framework to their own area of
research, which might be morphology or psycholinguistics as well as the more
expected syntax and/or semantics.  Any language is of interest.

The student will be serve as a Teaching Assistant in a new course, Introduction
to Cognitive and Brain Sciences, and will assist Prof. Jackendoff in developing
acquisitions in linguistics for the Tufts library.

Support for the full semester (1/16-5/31) will be $9000; support for more
limited time will be adjusted proportionately.  

Candidates for this position should write to Prof. Jackendoff, describing their
interests and qualifications, and providing a sample of work and the names of
two references.
