Description:

Speech and Language Technology Developer
*S&T Level 4 $55,941-$64,818 or S&T Level 3 $46,437-$55,478

Located in Adelaide. You will be responsible for designing and implementing
the integration of speech and language technologies for natural computer
interfaces within advanced experimental military information systems. This
will involve research in language and speech processing, as well as
interaction with users and customers when installing systems and conducting
experiments on-site.

The position requires:
•- Ability to conduct experimentation in speech and language technologies;
•- Programming experience in a range of environments: Java, VB, C++, Delphi;
•- Experience with one or more speech and language technologies: speech
recognition, speech synthesis, multi-lingual language processing, language
understanding, question answering, or human-computer interaction;
•- Good oral and written communication skills, including a demonstrated
ability to convey or interpret complex information, concepts and procedures;
•- An enthusiastic approach to new and challenging problems.

The position will be filled as either S&T 4 or S&T 3, commensurate to the
level of the relevant experience, skills and work-related qualities of the
selected applicant.
