Description:

The Department of Linguistics, University of Ottawa, invites applications for a
tenure track position in phonology and/or phonetics at the Assistant Professor
level, commencing July 1, 2006. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in linguistics,
with evidence of strong research potential. Interest in other areas of
linguistics would be an asset. Preference will be given to candidates able to
teach in both English and French within a specified period of time. At the time
of tenure, professors are expected to have the ability to function in a
bilingual setting. Applicants should submit a c.v., representative samples of
their research, and arrange for three (3) letters of recommendation to be sent
directly to the address below.   All qualified candidates are encouraged to
apply; however Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority.
