Description:

Advanced Assistant or Associate Professor of Language Studies/Pedagogy,
with substantial experience in the supervision of language programs. PH.D.
in Language pedagogy or Second Language Teaching and Learning. Solid
publications record. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, supervision
and development of lower-division programs in Spanish (Heritage and non-native),
French, Portuguese, TESOL and occasional offerings in other foreign languages.
Strong commitment to teaching and research in language pedagogy required. The
department offers a BA in Spanish, French and Linguistics, and the MA in Spanish
and Linguistics. The University of Texas at El Paso is nationally recognized as
the only doctoral-research university in the United States with a majority
Mexican American student population, and is a major economic and cultural
presence in the Southwest and on the US/Mexico border. Send letters of interest,
