Description:

The Northwestern University Communication Sciences and Disorders Department
is searching for a faculty member, at the rank of Assistant Professor, with a
promising or established research program focused on language disorders,
acquisition, and/or processing in children, with a vision to pursue a program of
translational research.  This nine-month tenure-track position is based on the
Evanston campus.  Preferred starting date: September 1, 2006.  

Duties: 
Development of a fundable program of research, teach courses in child language
disorders and related topics, direct student research, and provide academic
advising.  

Qualifications:  
Earned Ph.D. in speech and language pathology or related field. Clinical 
certification is desirable, but not required.  The candidate must have interests
and experience required to teach courses in the Department and develop
interdisciplinary research affiliations with other units of the University.   

Salary:
Competitive, depending on qualifications and experience.
