Description:

The Center for Language and Cognition Groningen (CLCG)
announces two PhD positions in theoretical syntax (2nd
announcement, extended deadline).

The successful applicants receive training within the Dutch
LOT-system (participating in the LOT Summer/Winter
Schools), and carry out research within the Syntax and
Semantics group of CLCG, leading to a dissertation after 4
years.

The research is to be carried out in the context of the
NWO-funded program 'Dependency in Universal Grammar', which
aims to combine (minimalist) syntactic and typological
research. The project is supervised by Jan-Wouter Zwart.

We offer a salary (for the full four year period) of
between EUR 1933 and 2472 per month (based on 100%
employment).

Deadline for application is October 1, 2006.

Positions run from November 1, 2006 to October 31, 2010.
